Sustainability: the resilience case of Tech/AI - Will it be possible to deliver the promises?

The forecasts for technology and AI development over the next 10 years are colossal, and their applications are likely to transform numerous business models. Yet, while funding is abundant in these fields, physical realities could pose a complex challenge. Indeed, AI and technology depend on abundant water access (both for copper production in semiconductors and for data center cooling), considerable amounts of energy that are not always available at scale depending on the region, and critical access to rare earth elements made difficult by global geopolitics. So, are technology and AI facing a wall of physical realities? On what timeline, and what are the options?
